Video Dump: "The Call of the Wildman" Is Pure Entertainment

Call of the Wildman is a show on the Animal Planet that follows Ernie Brown Jr. as he gets rid of unwanted critters on people’s property. What makes him different from all other pest control guys is that he catches the animals with his own hands and releases them to the wild. Ernie Brown, Jr. (aka the Turtleman) was born and raised in Kentucky. The Turtleman caught his first snapping turtle when he was just seven years old after learning the technique from his father and uncle.  He’s been bitten and scratched all to hell on the show but the last time we checked, he still has both hands, he’s still pretty crazy and he still loves what he does. In fact, Ernie  loves his job so much that he’ll happily take a pie as payment for his services if you happen to be short on cash.

Here are six of the Turtleman’s bare-hand catches that’ll make you believe in the power of insanity and good intentions.
