Get Your Hands on the TiVo Slide Remote

With all of the functions and features now available on TiVo, it’s surprising this gadget didn’t come out earlier. The TiVo Slide Remote ($89.99, TiVo) slides open to reveal a hidden QWERTY keyboard, so you can more easily search for names of shows on the recording device. Anyone who has tried tediously typing in a search for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on TiVo’s Netflix feature or looking for a video via YouTube with a normal remote knows how awesome an invention like this is for the loyal TiVo user. And though we wish it wasn’t so pricey at almost 90 smacks, it shows promise that we’ll see more user-friendly remotes like this to come (along with cheaper price tags, too).
