Initially, it’s kind of weird, a non-music video of Ice Cube showing us the landmarks of L.A. He takes us on a walk about of the Eames house as he praises Charles and Ray Eames for their resourcefulness, how they used what they had and made the best out of it, making structure and nature one. In his own words, “This is going green 1949 style, bitch!” It’s an interesting combination; a gangster rapper talking about architecture but then again, architecture and music all fall under the same umbrella of ‘art’ and there really is no better guide to the art of L.A. than Ice Cube; an artist in his own right, who knows his hometown like the back of his hand.
Plus we’re pretty sure having Ice Cube as your tour guide gives you instant street cred.
