Gameboy iPhone Case

TSJ has always believed in the power of giveaways–and in our kickass readers the past few months. As our way of giving back for the holidays, we’re rolling out our biggest giveaways yet with our 12 Days of Giveaways free shit blowout. Every weekday for the next few weeks, we’ll be giving away everything from DVDs and books to gadgets and furniture for you to stuff your own stocking. Keep your eye out for the daily post to see how you can win hundreds of dollars worth of freebies.

Sometime last year, a photo of the world’s first purported Game Boy iPhone case crept onto the Internet and blew it right up. Kids of the ’80s everywhere got an instant nerd boner for this case that was so skillfully done, and the hunt began to track it and its owner down. Nothing really ever came of it, though. So we took matters into our own hands.

Gameboy iPhone Case

TSJ’s kickass designer and photo editor friends worked diligently to create a properly proportioned image of a Game Boy from scratch, and the final product is pretty fantastic, thanks to our friends at Uncommon, a company that designs and manufactures customizable iPhone and other mobile cases. Using a special “tattooing” process, Uncommon can help you create the case of your dreams for your iPhone or other mobile device.

Customers can choose from a couple of different cases to print their designs on, and though the Capsule case is recommended, we’re extremely happy with both it and the Deflector case, which will work best if you’d prefer your design not to be interrupted by the break in the two-part Capsule case.

Lucky for you, Uncommon wants to be your friend, too. Though we’re not quite willing to share our custom-made Game Boy photo—Uncommon can’t get it for you, don’t ask—they’re willing to share some gift codes with five of you for a free Uncommon case.

In the comments below, tell us which iPhone case you’d like to copycat if you were to win. Links to photos get bonus points. And, no, you can’t say the Game Boy case.

The five best comments get a gift code for a free case from Uncommon.

Giveaway closes Monday, Dec. 6.

Be sure to provide a legit e-mail address when you comment so we can contact you.

Sorry, U.S. contestants only.

That’s it for today, guys. But, trust us, you will want to check back tomorrow. Hint: One of the freebies in the final days of the giveaway blowout is worth almost $300. And the other one? Well, we’ll just say there’s some classic, Playboy nudity involved.

I would want a case that looks like the 50th anniversary cover of playboy!! That or one of the vintage covers from back in the day. Can’t even begin to imagine how good that would look on an iPhone.

I’d make a case that looks exactly like the obelisk from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Picture provided includes me jumping up and down with joy: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/132/384161890_f02bc4f9c6.jpg
