Giveaway Day Four, Part Two: Guinness World Records 2011 and Life

Posted 12/9/2010 at 1:00 pm by

TSJ has always believed in the power of giveaways–and in our kickass readers the past few months. As our way of giving back for the holidays, we’re rolling out our biggest giveaways yet with our 12 Days of Giveaways free shit blowout. Every weekday for the next few weeks, we’ll be giving away everything from DVDs and books to gadgets and furniture for you to stuff your own stocking. Keep your eye out for the daily post to see how you can win hundreds of dollars worth of freebies.

Some people would say doing two giveaways in one day is pure madness. We say they’re the mad ones – mad they don’t have our dedicated fan base of awesome readers. In the second giveaway of Day 4 of our 12 Days of Giveaway blowout, we’ve got copies of Life: The Complete Series on DVD and Guinness World Records 2011 sitting on our desk, literally exploding with facts and exotic species, waiting for an envelope with your name on it.

First of all: Life is so cool. Perhaps cooler than Planet Earth, though both shows are equally amazing to watch. Even sober! The insanely rare animal breeds you’ll get to check out on this four-disc package are fascinating to watch and will probably give you your fair share of “we’re just specks of dust in this universe, man” mind-blown moments. Even sober! Plus, it’s narrated by Oprah. The appeal is obvious: you get over 480 minutes of good-ass watchin’ if you win, plus special features (including a “music only” option, if Oprah’s voice grates your nerves. But if that’s the case, what are you, evil? Nobody hates Oprah! Not even terrorists hate Oprah.)

Continuing with our “wow, we live in a pretty crazy world, huh?” theme, we’ve got two copies of Guinness World Records 2011 to give away. This all-new edition is “exploding with thousands of new records.” For example: the most knives thrown around a human target in one minute is 102 14-inch blades. In a minute! That’s almost two per second, which is almost scarier to think about than vaginal perfume. You get 400 pages of did-you-knows and conversation starters in this awesome coffee table book. Here’s how you can win:

In the comments below, answer this question: who holds the Guinness Book of World Records for Most World Records, and how many do they hold?

The first correct comment wins a copy of Life: The Complete Series on DVD and a copy of Guinness Book of World Records 2011. The second correct comment wins a copy of Guinness Book of World Records 2011.

Giveaway closes Friday, December 10th.

Be sure to provide a legit e-mail address when you comment so we can contact you.

Sorry, U.S. contestants only.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for more incredible giveaways, especially if you’re a fan of Jon Hamm (and we’re looking at you, jonhamminbone7474. Don’t think we don’t read those e-mails. Nasty.)
