I can’t really say that I’ve had a “really cool” key chain at any time of my life. But, I did find a set of lock picking tools at the movie theater once and used them at home to actually unlock one of my doors. I never did use this skill for evil, though.

As a kid I can remember a very special key that my dad kept on his keychain. This key stuck out because it was fun to play with, something most keys sadly lack. When you pinched the handle of the key, the blade would open up. It wasn’t until many years (and a few college parties) later that I realized it was a roach clip. Go dad!

The coolest (nerdiest) key chain that I’ve ever owned is the Bumblebee (not the tuna) Generation 1 Transformer key chain. It’s actually still in use and most requested by my nephews for them to inherit from me. Got to love the hand me down system. I think this one would allow me to bequeath my current one to another but to make it the ultimate keychain giveaway you have to put a TSJ sticker on it.

The coolest key chain I ever saw was part bottle opener, part key chain and part liquor bottle holder. I was at a Ren Fair, and the person was holding all three on a strap. It wasn’t a “key chain”…but it did the part! Even if he got drunk..he still had his keys on him!!

Like Keyport, it is simple, basic, and doesn’t leave a huge bulge in a guy’s pants (bada bum ch)

My uncle use to be a roadie for a couple of bands back in the day. He crafted a sweet little key chain from guitar picks he collected along his travels and gave it to me when I was about 12. The only trouble was, I had to damn near convince everybody that asked that the damn thing came from actual rock stars not some dime store guitar store. So maybe it wasn’t the best key chain. Nevermind. (sad face)

Growing up, my brother and I never really got along. We were both really into cars, and restored a few with my dad, but it never really brought us closer. We were just two guys who had the same parents.

Then one year for Christmas he bought me this keychain that was a slotted ring that you could put smaller keyrings on. He had gotten a copy of all of the cars we had ever talked about owning/working on and put them on the smaller rings.

It was a small gesture with a small object that allowed me to really see how much we had in common and how many things we both loved.

It’s gotten pretty scuffed and banged up through the years, and while I’ve never actually used it as a keychain, I still keep it on my bookshelf so I can see it everyday.

I thought i already posted this but apparantly not. if i’m just retarded and cant find mine dont disqualify me…the coolest keychain i ever had was this black one that had 4 buttons on it. One button locked the car, another unlocked it, the third popped the trunk, and the fourth set off this alarm. i had to get rid of it though cause if i locked my car with it the alarm would go off 5 minutes later guaranteed. so as you can see im in need of a cool keychain in my life

Kinda dweeby, but when I was a kid, my uncle had this leather key holder that was all worn and cool looking. He used to tell me it was magic and I semi-believed him as it seemed to hold 100 keys. Every lock he needed to open — no matter the size, type or vehicle — he had the key for it. When he died, he left it for me, maybe as a joke because when I opened it, it only had clips for 3 keys…

The coolest keychain I have and will ever own is the one I stole from CHUCK NORRIS! Not some obsessed fan that changed his name to Chuck Norris but the actual Chuck Norris keychain that He owned. I am in police protection and operating under 17 separate identities from this very incident, My wife and kids don’t even know my location but I digress my Chuck Norris Keychain only holds one key and can open all locked doors from my house to my convertible Sebring to my safe where I keep it! What does it look like? Well you guessed it–It is shaped like his beard that transforms into a phallus–I would take a picture but it’s not possible, it just breaks my camera. It also has boosted my roundhouse kick–any argument I get into ends the same way, the other person receives either broken ribs or a dislocated jaw/head. Chuck Norris will live forever because his fists beat death to death. I hope I never lose this keychain.

This one doesn’t compare to the Keyport, but I have a keyring that’s called “Le Clasp”. It is one piece of metal that has the ring portion made out of two overlapping halves, that when you press together on two protruding buttons opens the clasping portion. I got it from a company I worked for, and it always seems to be the best keyring that I end up going back to, as it can’t break apart so I never lose or drop any keys off the keyring like those silly pull apart two cylinder units. But it easily allows me to pull out one key from the others (great for leaving the car running and then locking the door to the house). Not to mention the fancy French name of it!

Key chains really aren’t my thing, but I do have to say the these keyports are rapidly evolving from a want to a need. I NEED A KEYPORT!!!

Coolest key chain: From Italy that my Nonno sent. Pure gold with sliding key rings attached to a middle gold circle. Parents don’t let me use it…..Need a key chain

This would be a great replacement to my constant search for a good key fob. I’ve been through countless keychain gizmos carabiners to military paracord an so on. The best one i’ve come across is a breathalyzer keychain and a silver plated lego block. good luck all!

The coolest keychain i’ve ever owned was made for me by a girlfriend out of thin rope because i wanted something that allowed the keys to lay flat against each other in my pocket, unlike a steel ring. But the Keyport is the coolest keychain i’ve ever seen because it keeps a slim profile while being a million times more thoughtful/better engineered than my rope!

My keyport is ordered and on the way. I will order another one when keyport makes one that holds up to eight keys. The keyport is already a great size and adding two slots to hold more keys or an led or usb only makes it that much better in my opinion.

Definitely the coolest keychain I’ve seen is the pepper spray cans. You can’t even tell they are pepper spray because they are so small. They look like little flash lights. I’ve even seen them in pink. I’m wondering whether or not they’d even work but hey no longer have to worry about searching for pepper spray.
