THE FIRST TELEVISION GAME SHOW was called Spelling Bee. It aired in 1938, and since then, all types of game shows have been created; from quiz shows to big prize shows and that one pyramid show where celebrities play and are forced to sit in close proximity with normal people.
Game shows are now so well produced and well known, the really popular ones pretty much run like clockwork, the producers don’t count on the fact that someone could come on to the show, not know what they’re doing and throw a hilarious wrench into the well-oiled game show wheel. Some contestants are so epically stupid that you can barely watch them without having to cover your face and cringe away from the sheer power of their idiocy.
