To win an Oscar is almost every actor’s ultimate career goal. The moment in time when your industry peers agree that your work is exceptional and better than the best. Understandably, the actors who do win are often flustered as they go up on stage, accept their award and say a speech, so it’s not surprising that in this highly emotional moment of victory, some speeches can go from awkward, to creepy to just downright so self-congratulatory, that for once, everyone’s relieved when the orchestra starts the cut-off music.
