By now, you’ve almost certainly heard of Rebecca Black and watched her charmingly awful “Friday” video on every website in the land. If not, by all means, click this link and check it out.

There’s an interesting twist to the flood of jokes and taunts that have been sent Rebecca Black’s way, though. Turns out, the internet kind of frowns on incessant jokes at the expense of an otherwise innocent 13-year-old kid. So this time around, the jokes have been met with an equal amount of support for the poor kid. So much so, that she’s been invited around the talk show circuit to prove that she’s not as horrible as that viral video may imply by performing the song live.

Is she succeeding in her quest? Check out this performance and judge for yourself.

Performance? Seriously? That was a total lip sync. Nothing against the girl and I can understand why she’d lip sync on national TV but…well…she’s 13 so I have to be nice, right? Who knows. Maybe she will have a career of some sort.

Did anyone else notice that the vocals start before she even has a microphone anywhere near her mouth? Hmmmmm….

If you truly have talent, you don’t need auto-tune, you don’t need to lipsync, and you don’t need to rip off the blues classic Stormy Monday with an unworthy knockoff about days of the week.

So, good luck Rebecca. Let’s hope you escape the music industry crapfest-o-matic long enough for us to see if you have genuine talent without all the industry crutches.

I don’t have anything against her, but the truth is that she has no talent, her actual “talent” is no other than the sympathy of the audience from all the hate she got, the sound technology and the money from mom and dad.
The song itself is idiotic and that’s the most incredible part because its writing was supposedly hired and payed by her parents.
    They got scammed horribly!
