THE END OF THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP IS NEAR and we’re down to the final game. Which fans of this final pairing have the best pair to show off their pride? It’s Louisville vs. Michigan!
Louisville fought against the Wichita State Shockers in their Final Four bout. The Shockers were the breakout team this year, outlasting other Cinderella stories Harvard and Florida Gulf Coast. Many fans cried foul when the close game was decided due to a controversial jump ball call that gave Louisville the game.
Will the Louisville team show their merit, or will the Wolverines avenge Wichita State?
As a Michigan State alum, it’s against all rules to root for our rivals from the east. But Michigan has been this year’s surprise team. They had not made the Sweet Sixteen since 1994 and the final four and National Championship game since 1993, before many of their freshmen and sophomores were born. Now they have the chance to win it all for the first time since 1989 (the year their six-year slacker seniors were born).
Michigan won with strong defense against Syracuse and have cemented their run. This year’s crop of freshman, both on the team and showing their pride on Twitter, have been instrumental. Will they show their best in basketball and Tweets and give U of M a four year dynasty?
