Flying South for the Winter

Your mom was no fan of the cold weather, but she was fine spending the spring and summer months up north because your dad’s job required your family to live there. Fortunately for her, his job was an extremely high-paying one, which made it possible for your folks to keep a winter residence in South Florida. So the instant daylight saving time ended, she relocated to the Sunshine State to enjoy the warmth and the luxurious amenities like an indoor/outdoor pool until spring arrived.

Although we never had the pleasure of traveling down there with her ourselves, we had no problem picturing the scene—because your mom was hot!
