Costume sellers attracted some attention last week for offering an adult Big Bird costume that the Sesame Street people felt was too sexy. And by “felt was too sexy” we meant “threatened legal action.” Here is (well, according to Gothamist) the evolution from cute to slutty:
The Big Bird costumes were sold by Yandy.com, and they’re really just the tip of the iceberg as far as sexualized things that one might not have thought to sexualize. Of course, Big Bird got a big bump this year because Mitt Romney’s gunning for him (yes, the real Big Bird is male), but here are 21 others that might not be working for you. And unlike Big Bird, they’re all still on the site:
