Once upon a time there was a model named Monica Mendez, a busty all-natural Latina who appeared in some Playboy publications and videos, as well as other magazines and videos that needed busty Latinas.

And then… she retired, or at least phased out her posing activities and started a career as a glamour photographer. This would be sometime before 2009, when she wrote a book about being a former stripper. According to her Wikipedia page, she is still retired.

But a funny thing happened a couple of months ago — MonicaMendez.com popped up. It’s a nudie site brought to you by the people at PinupFiles.com and SeptemberCarrino.com. We noticed it but thought — hey, she’s retired. They probably have a trove of unpublished material that they will use to fake a real site for awhile and cash in on her old fans who believe she’s really behind the site. This happens all the time; there exist many so-called “official” sites that a girl actually has no connection to, and it’s just some dude who owns the rights to a bunch of her pictures.

We are not casting aspersions on PinupFiles.com — we have no evidence that they are one of the outfits who do this sort of thing. We just know it happens.

So MonicaMendez.com shows up in March, we’re not sure what to make of it, but we kind of don’t expect it to last. But it has lasted, and actually posted a bunch of content. We did some digging and found reports on message boards that Monica is doing live chats on the site. You can fake a lot of things, but a live chat is not really one of them.

Right now, we’re inclined to believe it’s legit, and that Monica is out of retirement. And this is cause for celebration. Celebrate with these pictures from MonicaMendez.com in whatever way you see fit.
