Maybe it was because she was of German descent, but your mom seemed to know everything about Volkswagens, including how to fix them. So when you saw that Super Beetle convertible at a local used car lot and decided that you had to have it, your mom insisted on performing a personal inspection so you wouldn’t get hosed on the deal.

She thought it was cute when all of your friends showed up at the lot as well, thinking that we were there to share in the excitement of buying your first car. Oh, we were excited, all right, but not about that. Those old VWs had the engines in the back, which required a person to bend over and crouch down in order to have a look under the hood, er, trunk. Not so great to watch when some greasy fat dude was doing it, but quite the opposite on that particular occasion—because your mom was hot!
