ABC: Always Be Closing

A lot of housewives get into real estate sales because they’re bored or they think it’ll be easy money. But your mom was pretty damn serious about it. The walls of your house were plastered with plaques and certificates honoring her status as the top-selling realtor in the entire state, and she was hardly ever home, usually out hustling her next commission instead.

We often wondered why she was so good at it until we got to know the new kid on the block. His family bought their house from your mom, and he said that she showed them the master bedroom last, at which time his dad, almost instantaneously, said, “We’ll take it. Where do I sign?”

That’s when it all made sense—because your mom was hot!
