Tying One On (a Swimsuit, That Is)

Remember the time when our families went on that cruise together and the airline lost everyone’s luggage? The rest of us assembled new wardrobes at the ship’s duty-free shop, but not your mom. Always one to “make lemonade out of lemons,” as she used to say, she took the scarf she was wearing and turned it into a swimsuit.

Of course it pretty much put her entire butt on display, which forced her to spend most of her time on the nude sunbathing deck. She didn’t seem to mind though, nor did any of the other tourists who were treated to wonderful views of her knockout bod for the duration of the cruise.

Your dad, on the other hand, seemed a little perturbed at all the attention she was getting. But miraculously he got over it after he and your mom would disappear into their cabin for an hour or so after a few Mai Tais. So yeah, an unfortunate mishap that would have ruined a lot of other people’s vacations actually made ours better, because your mom was hot!
