Snow Day = Happy Day

When a major snowstorm hit, there was nothing better than the moment when it was officially announced on TV or the radio that our school was closed for the day. Almost immediately, your friends clicked into action and braved the elements in order to somehow make it over to your house.

You see, your mom was a teacher, and when there was no school for us, there was no school for her, either. She would take full advantage of the situation by curling up on the plush, exotic rug your dad got on safari and enjoying a much-needed day off. Needless to say, we wanted an eyeful of that.

There was no amount of snow that could keep us from darkening your door on those wonderful days when the winter weather shut down our school. We were willing to do whatever it took, because your mom was hot!
