From Here, You Can See Russia

Pretty much every family on the block did their vacationing in typical tropical locales like Aruba, the Virgin Islands and whatnot. Your family was different. At your mom’s insistence, you all headed in the opposite direction in search of some R&R. Places like Montana, the Canadian Rockies and even Alaska were on the short list of preferred destinations. Yes, she was quite the frontier women. Thankfully, even in proximity to the Arctic Circle, she dressed like she was closer to the equator, which is why no one minded sitting through your family’s vacation slideshows.

We never found out if she could see Russia from where she landed in Alaska, but one thing we do know—your mom was hot!
