THERE USED TO BE A TIME when the only way to see the coeds at your college naked was to seduce them, check them out at their night job at the strip club or else engage in some peeping Tom activities

Academia got a helping hand when Playboy came out with its September 1977,  “Girls of the Big Ten” issue. Suddenly coed nudity was democratized for anyone who could pay the cover price. Each issue led to a rise in school spirit (among other things).

In the age of the Internet and affordable digital cameras and smartphones,  production has become even more democratized. Among the disorganized wild west of amateur sites and Tumblr accounts have arisen several places dedicated to allowing college students to post their nude pictures for an admiring audience. While not having the prestige and production values of the Playboy pictorials, these DIY sites provide your dose of college pride between special issues of Playboy.

1. BOOBERLIN (Oberlin College)

Out research suggests that Booberlin may have been the first of these sites. In any case, it seems to have influenced many of the other sties on the list.

Featuring male and female students, this school renown for its radicalism is reshaping the student body. Booberlin features subpages include ObieNudes (fine art nudes) ObieRisque (hardcore) and ObieGYN (vagina oriented)

2. BOOBS AT BARD (Bard College)

Boobs at Bard is a student nude site at this historically Episcopal College. It’s been inactive since January 2012 after an attempt to move from the Tumblr to a standalone site met traffic snarls. We hope it will start up again.

3. MAIZE AND BOOBS (University of Michigan)

The University of Michigan is known as a football powerhouse, but perhaps it should be known for the contributions of its student body as well. While most people sporting U of M attire are typically Wal-Mart Wolverines (i.e., people who didn’t actually attend), this site encourages posters to show their U of M student ID card (with names covered).

4. RUTGERS RACS (Rutgers University)

RutgersRacs is a recently revived Tumblr inspired by Booberlin. Low on content right now, it relaunched in September. With a similar size to U of M, we hope it starts cranking out more pictures. Plus it’s the alma mater of porn star Joanna Angel.

5. SWATTIE BODIES (Swarthmore College)

SWATHMORE, PENNSYLVANIA

Swarthmore is a private, nonsectarian liberal arts college outside of Philadelphia. Despite its size, it puts out a number of pictures with some interesting creativity.

Tulane University is located in New Orleans, where Mardi Gras means showing off boobs in public. And with the high female population (55%) this school has the strong base for a great blog.

A traditional women’s college that’s been coed since 1969, Vassar is a liberal arts haven in upstate New York. One of the elite Seven Sisters College, it is the only one with a nude blog. Hopefully it will influence its sister schools to open new blogs to show off their elite student bodies.

9. WESBREASTS (Wesleyan University)

MIDDLETOWN, CONNECTICUT

A liberal arts schools with ties to the Methodist Church, this is one of the Little Three liberal arts schools, and is grouped in the Little Ivies with Vassar College. This is one of the smallest schools on the list and has not updated in three months, but hopefully the women of Wesleyan step up and make this an active blog.
