About The Office:
BBC AMERICA first introduced U.S. audiences to the comedy genius of Ricky and Stephen when it premiered the show in 2003. At its launch The New York Times called it “pretty much the funniest show ever.” It inspired the U.S. version on NBC.

I love the entire series and Ricky Gervais is great as David Brent. I really like the episode where the company is raising money for Comic Relief and some of the office is dressed up in costumes. David’s boss Neil comes in with Rachel and they do a dance from Staturday Night Fever in their costumes, which the entire office loves and goes wild over. David is seen cutting his eyes to the camera several times, and when the dance is over, he tells the office he has a dance also which he describes as a mix of Flashdance and MC Hammer. He starts dancing to the claps of the office, looking very awkward and uncoordinated, but he thinks he is doing a better dance than Neil. I think that scene shows the comic genius of Ricky Gervais and how willing he is to just go for it & do whatever it takes to make the comedy better. The picture at the top of the contest page shows David in a still from the episode. I love the way he bites his lip while he dances.

My favorite was when he sang Free Love Freeway. And the accompanying clip with Noel Gallagher performing it with him in a studio. Great episode.

David Brent’s rendition of Simply Red’s “If You Don’t Know Me By Now”, or when he finally tells Finchy off, that desperately needed to happen, so David could get some self respect.

My favorite clip from The Office is in one of the first episodes where Tim puts Gareth’s stapler in the jelly/jello. It’s hilarious! The guys in the US version tried the same joke, but it wasn’t as funny.
