Tuesday Tune: Crystal Castles, “Plague”

The Toronto-based experimental electronic band, Crystal Castles, consisting of producer Ethan Kath and lyricist/vocalit Alice Glass, get a rep for their DYO productions and how they stage chaotic live shows. Their eponymous debut album was included in NME‘s “Top 100 Greatest Albums of the Decade” list at No. 39.

Crystal Castles lifted their muy spookytimes video’s disturbing footage from the 1981 Andrzej Zulawski film Possession. The flick was first made by Ivan Grbin, a fan of Crystal Castles, and the band liked the video so much they decided to make it the official video for their tune, “Plague.”
