The following video is proof that both comedy and terror are a language we all understand. There’s not a word of English being uttered here, but we know exactly what’s going on, and we love it.

Basically, a crew sets up a hidden camera in the hallway of a hotel and dresses a little girl up like those creepy twins from the horror classic The Shining. From there, they catch people’s reactions as they turn the corner and see one of the most iconic scenes in horror movie history being played out right before their eyes. It’s glorious stuff.

We’re not sure which reaction we enjoyed more, the cleaning lady who couldn’t possibly care less or the woman at the end who looked like she was ready to kick the girl down the hallway until the film crew intervened. Whatever the case, it’s all pretty wonderful.
