This week’s trailers are a bit half and half–half serious dramas and docs, and half bloody good messes. Thanks to the Scream 2010 awards this week for providing some kickass clips and trailers. ‘Tis the season to be scary.
All Good Things
Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst, Frank Langella
In theaters Dec. 3
A few more projects like this one, and Ryan Gosling will be quickly rocketing toward Harrison Ford action-drama all star status.
Boxing Gym
Directed by Frederick Wiseman
In New York theaters today
The trailer doesn’t exactly allude to much, but this documentary about Lord’s Gym in Texas, run by former pro boxer Richard Lord, looks like it has potential to feature one of the best rattails of all time.
Scream 4
Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox Arquette, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere
In theaters April 2011
Never.say.die.
There’s power in movies made in threes, so we were skeptical of yet another Wes Craven Scream slasher. But the cast is packed with some pretty heavy hitters, not to mention hot girls who will inevitably be bouncing around a house screaming for most of their on-screen time. For this, we’re willing to give it a shot.
Super
Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page
In theaters Spring 2011
Thanks to the Scream 2010 awards show this week, we got another peek at a clip from the upcoming wannabe superhero movie, Super. (Two clips so far but no trailer yet? Lame.) At this point, Super looks like it’s going to fall into the same category as Kick-Ass–that is, bloody, aggressive and simply kickass.
