No Wearing White after Labor Day, but Until Then…

Now that we’re adults, we look forward to Labor Day as another much-needed three-day weekend just before pro football season starts. But when we were kids, we hated the thought of this particular holiday’s arrival. Not only did it mean we had to go back to school, it meant your mom would be putting away her summer wardrobe until Memorial Day. Specifically, the tight white pants that conformed to her every curve and the ridiculously revealing plaid tops she loved to wear with them. Boy, her body really bounced back after giving birth to your younger brother. And although we were disappointed that we wouldn’t be seeing as much of it for the next several months after the onset of September, we knew that the week leading up to Labor Day would be an exciting one indeed—because your mom was hot!
