Have you signed up for TSJ’s fantasy basketball challenge yet? It all goes down TONIGHT, one day only, and you can win some easy cash by doing nothing more than putting together a team of eight players and hoping for the best. There are just a few hours left until the deadline to sign up passes!
You don’t have to know anything about basketball. Hell, you don’t even have to watch basketball. Not tonight and not ever. But that doesn’t mean you can’t win! The league is exclusive to TSJ readers, and you’ll be competing against some of our illustrious and sobriety-challenged staffers. Click here for full details about the fantasy basketball challenge.
As promised, some of the TSJ staff is entering into the fray, and we’ve been posting their picks throughout the week. Today, Chris Lathrop, the man behind “Your Mom Was Hot” and several of our most beloved feature articles joins the madness.
Here’s what Chris had to say about his team:
“I’m not much of a fan of the NBA during the regular season (too many damn teams, too many damn games, and my beloved Pistons suck canal water). So I selected my squad (hereinliestherub) as a woman would–based largely on superficial and ultimately meaningless criteria. I chose Carlos Boozer because I look like him from the neck up when my Van Dyke is connected to my sideburns; Rodney Stuckey because he’s a Piston; Grant Hill because he used to be a Piston; Brook Lopez because he’s Latino, etc. Let’s see how that works out for me.”
