Awhile back, we posted video of what still remains one of the greatest things to happen this summer…chicks playing with squirt guns. Wait, that doesn’t sound right.
Ok, it was Cee-Lo. We posted a video for a song called “Fuck You” by Cee-Lo Green (of Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley fame, doy). It was all sorts of awesome and for the most part, the world loved it. So it’s only natural that someone would come along and “capitalize” on the hype, if by “capitalize” you mean “turn it into something that only a person who endured hundreds of swirlies in high school could truly love.”
Some cat named Brendan Becker, who goes by the performing name of Inverse Phase, has re-imagined Cee-Lo’s tale of lost love into a song about an NES console spurned for more modern gaming machines that don’t require you to blow into the cartridge for 25 minutes before you can play.
Great job with the video, Brendan. Now give us your lunch money.
